AMGT 480: Applied Management Capstone

This course provides the opportunity for students to demonstrate that they have learned the material and concepts from the program and can apply it in the real world. It provides students the opportunity to do a comprehensive analysis of an on-going business or organization and develop a long range, strategic plan including implementation and recommendations for change or to explore the development of a new entrepreneurial venture and measure its feasibility in a comprehensive manner. Instructor permission is required to enroll. Class must be passed with a 2.0 or better to count for BAS Applied Management degree. This course is cross-listed with AG 480 and HCAD 480. Students completing AMGT 480 may not receive graduation credit for AG 480 or HCAD 480. Course Outcomes: 1. Produce a comprehensive business analysis for an existing business or organization ILOs 1, 4; PLOs 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 8, 9, 10 2. Determine recommendations and/or feasibility for improvement for chosen client ILOs 2, 4; PLOs 4, 5, 6 3. Perform career interest analysis ILO 4; PLO 7 4. Prerequisite

Completion of/concurrent enrollment in AMGT 300, AMGT 301, AMGT 302, AMGT or HCAD 303, AMGT or AG 304, AMGT 306, AMGT 401 or HCAD 401, AMGT 402 or AG 402 or HCAD 402, and AMGT 404 or AG 404 or HCAD 404, all with a 2.0 or better.
