This course accompanies DHYG 331 and is the fourth in a series of clinical dental hygiene technique courses and introduces students to dental hygiene techniques for the periodontally involved patient, advanced instrumentation techniques for root surfaces, powered scalers, treatment of the pregnant patient through menopause, geriatric patients, patients with dental prostheses, and edentulous patients.

Prerequisite

Concurrent enrollment in DHYG 331. Students must apply and be accepted into the CBC Dental Hygiene program prior to enrolling.
