APM 123: CNC Operation and Setup [RE]

Students analyze and practice basic G&M programming in this introduction to computer numerical control (CNC) course. Evaluation of CNC equipment theory, functions, and processes, maintenance of the machines, theory and use of a tool presetter, and machine setup is the primary focus of this course. Students demonstrate the basic foundation of setup and operation of CNC lathes and mills. This course, in conjunction with all other 100-level AJAC apprenticeship courses is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills required for CNC operator certification. 50% tuition rate for Apprenticeships
