ABE 50: Basic Ged(R) Prep

Individualized instruction to prepare students to pass the four official GED(R) tests with a total score of 600 points or better. The GED(R) test consists of a battery of four individual tests. The four tests include Language arts-writing, Science, Social Studies, Mathematical Reasoning, and Reasoning Through Language Arts. $25 per quarter BeDA tuition. Course Outcomes: 1. Demonstrate quantitative reasoning by solving mathematical problems involving numbers, operations, algebra geometry, and data. ILO (1, 2, 6) 2. Apply critical reading strategies to comprehend, analyze, and interpret informational and literary texts. ILO (1, 3, 6) 3. Write clearly and effectively to communicate ideas, support arguments with evidence, and explain reasoning. ILO (1, 3, 6) 4. Use scientific reasoning and problem-solving strategies to interpret data, evaluate claims, and understand key scientific concepts. ILO (1, 2, 4, 6) 5. Demonstrate understanding of historical events, civic processes, and social studies concepts by analyzing sources and drawing evidence-based conclusions. ILO (1, 3, 5, 6) 6.
