This is the first welding course for Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) Wallula millwright and pipefitter occupation Apprenticeship students. This course gives students hands-on experience in a laboratory situation with the use of oxygen-acetylene equipment. Safety equipment set up/shut down, and manual and automatic cutting are covered, as well as identification of metals. $37.50 per credit Welding course fee. $12.50 per credit welding equipment fee. 50% tuition rate for Apprenticeships.

This course introduces the theory and practices required to learn how to weld using the SMAW process. This class continues to build on the skills and knowledge learned in the Intro course, with new applications and joint designs to gain proficiency performing. This course gives students hands-on experience in a laboratory situation. This is a welding course for Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) Wallula Apprenticeship students. This course gives students hands-on experience in a laboratory situation. This course is designed for the welding of plate and pipe using the Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) process.
