Apprenticeship
Apprenticeships provide ways to acquire the experience and training needed to get established in a career in the trades. CBC, in conjunction with labor unions, offers nine registered apprenticeship programs. Upon completion of a prescribed program of technical classes and on-the-job training, through the labor union, the worker receives a completion certificate which can be applied towards an AAS in Multi-Occupational Trades.

Courses
APPR 101: Industrial Manufacturing Safety [RE]
Credits 1 10Students will be oriented to the occupation and will learn about foundational safety requirements specific to manufacturing and production.
APPR 102: Industrial Manufacturing Basics [RE]
Credits 1 10Students will apply quality and continuous improvement practices to manufacturing and production.
APPR 103: Industrial Manufacturing Production Processes [RE]
Credits 1 10Students will learn to identify customer needs and required resources for production.
Prerequisite
Completion of APPR 101 and APPR 102, both with a 0.7 or better.
APPR 104: Industrial Manufacturing Machine Maintenance [RE]
Credits 1 10Students will learn to identify customer needs and required resources for production.
Prerequisite
Completion of APPR 103 with a 0.7 or better.
APPR 199: Special Studies [RE]
Credits 1 10A class used to explore new coursework or for a specific topic of special interest.
APPR 202: Communications [RE]
Credits 1 10Apprentices are introduced to basic communication concepts relating to the workplace, including interpersonal, intercultural, production team communications, technical writing, business communications, phone and email etiquette, and conflict management.
